Craig Carter

Craig is the lead vocalist for the band and fills in the rhythm on both acoustic and electric guitar. Performing since his early teens, Craig Carter has established himself as an enduring and popular singer, musician, and songwriter.

Over the years, he has worked consistently in the New England area from his home base in Natick, Massachusetts.  In addition, Craig has been performing at venues all over the world. Fortunate enough to have played his music from St. Augustine to LA, from the streets of Italy to the beaches of Jamaica and many places in between, Craig says,

"Nothing, absolutely nothing, makes me happier than playing my favorite tunes for you.”

Billy Sciore

Billy plays lead guitar, slide and vocals. Performing in Massachusetts for the better part of 40 years, he brings a distinctive sound to the band with his unique, melodic and explosive guitar playing.

All over the Boston area and Cape Cod as well as Rhode Island, Billy’s done everything from busking solo in the streets, to listening rooms, to playing clubs like The Channel, The Rat, and The Hatch Shell with groups like LiteWitch, The Lost Boys, Against All Odds, Freddy Cannon, The Regulars, and The Mud Slide Band.

Now he’s with Craig Carter and the Hurricane, and the cohesiveness of the music is where it all falls into place with the other band members.  It’s a perfect musical fit!

Steve Gilligan

Steve Gilligan is best known as founding bassist of one of New England’s best loved rock 'n' roll bands, The Stompers.  After The Stompers stopped touring regularly in the mid-1990s Steve became a founding member of the acoustic trio City of Roses, coffee house favorites and a featured act at the 2006 Boston Folk Festival. Steve joined up with the resurrected pop-rock band Fox Pass from 2004-2014. Steve has also been featured on many releases by a variety of New England artists including country act Blame the Whiskey, pop favorites Hummingbird Syndicate, and singer songwriter Kenny Selcer. He has released four CDs of his own music between 2012 and 2022 and to kick off 2023,  he brings his wealth of musicality to the band Craig Carter and the Hurricane.

Denis Semprebon

Originally from Montpelier, Vermont, Denis now resides in Holliston, Massachusetts. Denis is the other half of the driving rhythm section as well as occasional background vocalist. His diverse musical background afforded him seats with the Vermont Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestra, off Broadway productions, show bands, marching bands and recording sessions. While attending Berklee College of Music, Denis met jazz vibist Gary Burton. As Gary’s tour manager for over 10 years, Denis traveled worldwide with Burton’s various quartets and his duet performances with Chick Corea.

Since the mid ‘70s, Denis has been playing with various bands throughout New England. His tireless energy and expressive style delivers a genuine connection with the audience.

“I am very impressed with Craig, Steve and Billy’s musicianship, strong vocals and eclectic choice of material. I take great pleasure in playing with this dynamic band and look forward to every performance.”
